MUSKEEN LIDDAR
2026

Muskeen Liddar is a data visualisation designer based in  London. Her practice explores how collective visual languages can bring invisible systems into view. Her current research focuses on fungal networks and ecological systems, using collaborative, rule-based drawing to work with multiplicity, subjectivity, and shared decision-making. Through material experimentation, her work moves away from fixed measures to visualise complexity and connectedness within natural systems.

Nature & Networks imagines mycelium network characteristics through collaborative drawing, highlighting the network's unique abilities to stretch in all directions, decompose natural waste and produce mushrooms.

One hundred participants completed a drawing workbook, which formed the data set for this work.

Data questions: Write three words to describe an underground fungal network / Close your eyes, hold a pen in each hand, draw approx. 20 lines stretching in all directions, draw a circle whenever your pen pauses / Start from a corner of the page, connect at least seven dots, add two more dots to the page, connect the new dots.

Exhibited in Postgraduate degree show 2023, London College of Communication and UAL graduate showcase.
